After getting embroiled in a cheating controversy, Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings are set to revive their MaThon love team in their upcoming film “Sosyal Climbers.”

Racal and Jennings will portray the role of a couple involved in a scam, as seen in the film trailer released on streaming platform Netflix’s Facebook page on Thursday, Jan. 30.

The over-a-minute trailer features the pair pretending to be a rich couple, interacting with real wealthy people in an apparent attempt to gain money from them. The clip also includes a love scene and a kissing scene of the actors.

“True love. Fake lives. Can Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings scam their way to happiness?” the caption reads.

Racal and Jennings, as well as the film’s director Jason Paul Laxamana, also shared the trailer via their respective Instagram Stories. The movie is set for release on Feb. 27.

Arthaland on Thursday said the capital infusion would be done via its subscription to 180,000 of the unissued preferred shares of Bhavya Properties Inc. for P100 each.

The firm hopes to secure provisional authority to make its business up and running while the ERC’s virtual hearing on its application is in progress, according to the document posted on the regulator’s website on Wednesday, October 2.

Racal and Jennings first teased their project with Laxamana, who helmed films including “100 Tula para kay Stella,” “Just a Stranger” and “Between Maybes,” in March 2024.

The love-team partners made headlines in December after Jennings’ ex-girlfriend, Jamela Villanueva, exposed the screenshots of the actors’ intimate conversation prior to the former couple’s breakup.

Racal later expressed her remorse via a tell-all video, but stressed that Jennings made her believe that he had already ended his relationship with Villanueva when he started courting her.

Jennings then issued a public apology to the actress and Villanueva for causing them pain.

Aside from their upcoming movie, Racal and Jennings also star together in the action-drama TV series “Incognito.”
